Governor Tim Kaine has declared Friday a statewide day of mourning in Virginia. He has asked us to stop, at noon, and offer prayers to those affected. In addition, everyone is being asked to wear maroon and orange in honor of our fallen Hokies. Please join us?

The taking of any life at the hand of another is so very tragic. It is never acceptable.
Prayers for everyone impacted are continuing.
Still so shocked - and sorry, Sallee.
Events like this bring such a profound sadness. Hugs to you and all those in your corner of the country. This truly affects us all.
After hearing the killer's words I'm even more stunned then before. The fact that it was planned makes this all the more horrific.
I'm so sorry Sallee. I'm still praying for all the Hokies and their families and will observe today's vigil.
I will take a moment at that time tomorrow, too. My heart goes out to all of you. :(

I believe the black ribbon logo is allowed to all, as I could not find any restriction, hence my posting of it. Most colleges and universities are quite proprietary with their logos, as most folks know, and I would only use this for the purpose of showing solidarity and support for VA Tech in their hour of grief and mourning.
