Back in the late winter, My Sweetie and I happened to be in Michael's in HIS town, and picked up a couple of skeins of Paton's Kroy Sock for his *next pair* - after the brown ones I'm still working on...the third sock of...
On Thursday, I was sitting at home, nursing the latest of the "odd complications" of this shoulder surgery recovery and PT work, and happened to see Anne update on Facebook with her latest pattern and it SPOKE to me...in a very big way. The name probably (go ahead, check that link, then come back, I'll wait)...When I looked at the yardage required for the socks, it suddenly occurred to me I'd better check out the Patons. And of course they are 166 yards per skein. We'd picked up only 2 skeins.
Have I mentioned My Sweetie wears a size 11 shoe? Two 166 yard skeins would not cut it. Not at all...So this weekend, on a whim, we dashed into Michael's (I was there again, helping him paint, and we are much further along on this living room, but still have quite a bit to do) I really didn't expect to find the same colorway and dyelot, but OMG, people must not knit with Paton's Kroy in the summer?
Yup. Whew. I can make these socks now. :)

Oh, goodie! The yarn fairy has rewarded your good behavior. :-)
I had seen that pattern come out and thought it was particularly handsome. I look forward to seeing it in brown instead of white.
