Mid-Week Blues

A short week, and for some reason they're always tough to get through, you know?

It doesn't help that I can never remember what day it is, when Monday is Tuesday! I'm off kilter all week long, are you?

I don't have a lot tonight. I started another project and almost immediately - well, after about 24 hours of knitting on it - decided to put it aside. The love isn't there. What is it? If you're on Ravelry you might see it. For a bit longer. It's my "first sweater" - except that I don't think it is. The yarn is Berroco Cotton Twist in the blue/aqua/green/yellow from about 3 years ago - I bought it for the Sunset Wrap from Knitters. Didn't have enough, and Birdsong had extra and sent it to me. Well. There wasn't any love there either. (sigh)

Maybe I really should have stuck with my second choice and made a Clapotis from that yarn (and maybe I still will!)...but it's knitting horizontal "stripes" - sporadic, but still they're stripes - and I'm a bit too wide to think that's attractive on me.

I suspect it's headed to the frog pond.

Blue. As in yarn. Blue. As in mood (it's also rained and gotten really a lot colder, is going down to 45 tonight, my shoulder is telling me the forecast is probably true!). Blue. Hmmmm...there's ONE good thing about the color blue:

She's been after me with the flash again...I hate that!

Aren't they the bluest eyes you've ever seen? Pretty ones, too! And yes, they lift my mood. Star is coming along nicely, too...And what do you know? It's blue, too!
(((hugs)))

A *sweater*??? Wow! I remember the yarn you're using for the and the colors are pretty. I agree about horizontal stripes - they only work on size 5 or smaller figures. A pattern that's worked side to side would create vertical stripes if you have one handy.

My Siamese cat's eyes were the most beautiful blue I've ever seen - so I know just what you mean!

If you really have no love for that yarn, you can sell it to me! I LIKE it.

I agree that the short weeks are harder to get through! I also agree about those blue eyes. I've got a set of them right by my side.

I've been feeling a bit blue the past few days too. Meezer's lovely eyes brought a smile to my face.

Huggs to you and Meezer and CC,
