I didn't have a problem with splitting but I did use a bamboo circ which has a very rounded tip which may have been why.
Keep up the great work, I can't wait to see this shawl done as it's on my "To Do" List.

Question for you: Where did you get the pattern for the Triangle Lace Shawl? I love it, and Google gives me about a bazillion links for the Lily Chin crochet Triangle Lace Shawl, which isn't the same at all!

The Triangle Lace Shawl is available thru online class taught by Jackie E-S of Fiber Trends. It is well worth the small price to take this class, get the pattern and work with Jackie!
