Knit Night Post!

This will be brief, I promise! We had fun tonight at Knit Night and are finalizing plans for Saturday's excursion...

But I stopped at the po box on my way and had a box from Ruinwen. It seems I won her blogaversary contest the end of last week!

She sent along 2 sks of Noro Kureyon and 4 of Knitpicks WOTA hand-dyed in the colorway MacGregor (now you don't think she knows my color preferences do you?). But what was really wonderful - and the yarn is really really great - were the spices she included...cinnamon bark, real vanilla, thistle, rose petals, and saffron! Oh MY!

(and the cutest kitty stickers!)

The card she included was so cool: "We're such good friends that if I suggested a long walk, you'd know I meant sitting. With coffee. Possibly muffins."

Oh yes. That I do, dear Ruinwen. Thank you for a lovely contest gift! I will thoroughly enjoy it all...and the day will come when we'll take that long walk. I promise!

I'm jealous Sallee! Wow, what a nice package to receive. I am so glad to have 'met' Ruinwen, via your blog. Good things happen in Blogland, don't they.
