T-Day Weekend & Why I'm Glad It's Over!
Then...
Saturday and Sunday were spent in the confines of this 10x10 foot space...many new friends and customers entered my life those two days...it's was fun, but completely exhausting, as shows always are.
So when it was almost over (on Saturday night), Big Sis dropped me at Knit Happens in Old Town Alexandria, where I picked up...Debbie Bliss' new book Donegal Tweed. I'm a tweed nut. And I just love Inishowen...the lace scarf in Aran weight. There are a couple of sweaters in here, too, but as I've never knit a sweater, don't hold your breath!
And then...because I loved the color...a single skein of Rowan Kidsilk Haze in Violet.
Nope. I don't know what it's going to be. It'll tell me. Eventually.
This was my reward for pushing myself to do three shows in a month.
Oh. And then...Big Sis and I went to La Madelaine's. My favorite French cafeteria.

sounds like a lovely long weekend! even if a bit exhausting...
Sweaters aren't difficult - if you can handle lace, you can handle a sweater. Start with a simple pattern, maybe a top down raglan and next thing you know, you'll be a Sweater Magician as well as a Lace Magician.. {{{HUGS}}}
You never knit a sweater???? :)
Come on, it's fun!
Sounds like you had fun shopping!
Glad this show was better then the last and you got to eat at your favorite place to boot! I love their rosemary chicken!

Whew!! I'm glad you survived your crazy November. Is December going to be a little less crazy?
Love my new Christmas Kitties bag. Getting lots of complements on it too! So glad you made it to the Lee Rec. Center Show. PS: Can't quite figure out this blogging; how do you insert a signature picture/graphic like everyone else does??
Yum, I love La Madelaines. I only recently discovered them on a trip to NoVA for work this summer. Glad that you got to stop by Knit Happens too. Two treats in one day! I wondered if they were still around since the owner recently moved to England.
