Mad Rush...Out of Time...

Thanksgiving Day was busy and lovely with family and food. No one cooked, we went OUT this year, and wow, how nice it was not to slave in a hot kitchen! I'm much less tired than usual, even tho' there's no leftovers, but since I won't be home, that's a good thing!

But sewing also took place in the mad dash to finish up before leaving for the show this weekend. I wanted to have a couple of new Oressa dpn cases to offer...so I came up with these:
This is a crisp navy and white combination of dots and ticking stripes (btw...if you haven't figured it out yet, I'm a blue and white fan!).
And a second really fun and retro 60's cat print I'm calling Mod Cats. I love the bright greens, pinks, blues and yellows in this one.

But The Meezer? Well...I'm not too sure she approves...

(snif...snif) hmmm...Mommie, this smells interesting

but not so interesting that I'm willing to stand still for the lights to flash in my eyes

All I know is, there wasn't any turkey to be had this year. And I LOVE turkey. The Blonde Bombshell

The needle cases are terrific! Your cats always cheer me, and I certainly can feel the same about the turkey... this is the first time I followed the new CDC recommendation about NOT cooking your turkey with stuffing inside, and even using a meat thermometer, it was slightly undercooked.. a big disappointment, but the kids were all nice enough to me not to complain. Hoping the show is a great success for you.

That blue and white DPN case is gorgeous. Seeing the cases reminds me of that fabric you tempted me with. Admittedly, I have enough cases and bags, but if I had to get another small "sock sack" it would be in that awesome mannequin fabric you had previously. Great work as always!

The cases are so beautiful! I may not be able to resist much longer!

No turkey here either. Dad was sprung from the nursing home and wanted a burger...but it is all about family anyway.

Glad yours was nice!

P.S. It is nice to see the blonde bombshell - she is adorable too (don't tell Meezer I said that :)
