YES! It's a Weekend Post! :)

And it's mostly a knitting one, too!

A couple of weeks ago, I stopped at Whistle Stop Wool and Fiber in Lowry, VA, one of the newest, and neatest shops in my part of the world. Conveniently it's located between my house and My Sweetheart's house, and I do have to put on the breaks once in awhile and get out to stretch, dontcha know. (It doesn't always work, because most often I'm too late in the day and the shop is closed, but not Labor Day Weekend!) So of course, you know that stash was enhanced?
I'd gotten the Pursenalities book with the intention of making The Vintage Bubble Bag but only had the Noro Silk Garden for it. I picked up two skeins of the Lanaloft in that lovely color they call Rose something or other, and I call a true medium purple. As you can see the two yarns are playing very nicely together! I did pick up some size 15 needles earlier last month with this bag in mind, and really did think I had a stitch marker the right size (I even know which one it is, but I can't find it for love or money). So I ordered some from a couple of vendors on etsy, and one set has arrived. They read "Up to size 15" but methinks they don't quite fit, so I'm using scrap yarn (yes, it's cheaper, but I don't like it as well). :(

While I was at Whistle Stop, I picked up the pattern for the Side To Side Vest that friend Dianne had made and I just loved...really the intention was to buy the pattern. Period.
Obviously I wasn't a good girl. I fell head over teacups for this Plymouth Gina yarn in hot pink, turquoise, and yes, of course, purple. It's sitting in stash right now, because I simply have to finish a few things...and I'm really really trying not to order more...

shhhh...except for those skeins of Regia sock from Little Knits that are wending their way to me as we speak - it was an amazing sale, and they're ALL good colors for My Sweetheart's socks, and maybe one colorway for me, I won't say till I see them and remember what I bought...Of course I'm making an assumption that he'll LIKE handknit socks. But who doesn't? And besides, if he doesn't? I know several people who do...SIL and BIG SIS come to mind...

Excellent stash enhancement! That last batch is SO your colors - I can't wait to see how that vest turns out! Good luck getting things off the needles so you can get started :)

I honor the place in you,

which is of love, truth, light, and peace.

When you are centered in that place in you,

and I am centered in that place in me,
