Good Night, Irene...And Good Riddance!

I'm not the only one who's delighted to see the end of an awful storm, and I know we're lucky Irene wasn't worse, but after seeing historic covered bridges washed away in Vermont (and Norma sent a video of the flood waters that took down Grafton Cheese - which goes down in lore as a piece of my vegetarian family's heritage), worrying all weekend about family members in various parts of Virginia (everyone is safe, and with lots less damage to property than at first feared). I think it's definitely time to say good-bye to this storm!

What a week! First an earthquake (which I apparently never noticed, even tho' the rest of my office coworkers were pretty shaken up by it!) and then this massive storm. I think it's time for the promised week of beautiful pre-fall weather...

Of course, I didn't have too much time to think about things...as you know from those tickers above, there's precious little time left to prepare for my upcoming shows, so you know the Bernina worked overtime this past week and weekend, too, right?

Here's a sampling (there's a Knitnana and a Sidekick down there):

I made up several Rosy-Posy bags

in a variety of colors

We really are working overtime in this house...as you can see

Both Sewing Assistant #1 and Sewing Assistant #2 (in Training)

are completely worn out.

My wish this week is for calm skies and clear sailing. We could all use it.
(((hugs)))

I'll third those wishes! I'm definately up for a little calm weather. I'm assuming you didn't have the bad thunderstorms in between the earthquake and hurricane like we did.

Yes, you could! I'm glad you came through safe and sound, and that your family is doing all right, too. And I can see that your helpers are hanging in there!!

I wish for you clear calm weather, all your show wares selling out with a nice backlog and plenty of time to knit.

Namaste

I honor the place in you,

which is of love, truth, light, and peace.

When you are centered in that place in you,

and I am centered in that place in me,

we are one.
