Trekking Sock #1

Jane asked me to post photos and I was going to wait till I had some "environs" to show along with the sock, but the best I can do, is a bedtime photo with The Meezer...so we're Trekking off to Dream Land (except The Meezer once again is trying to decide if the bamboos are more enticing than the tearstrip - yes it's there in the bottom left corner, see?)

I've very happy with the colors in this yarn, the way it knits up, everything except my ability to do the short-row toe-up toe. There are little holes there that I can't seem to avoid no matter what I do...But I just LOVE the stitch definition of this yarn...and the size 1s are not bothering my hands at all! YEAH! And I used Wendy's formula for resizing (I'm a size 6 shoe, small foot!) and cast on only 52 stitches - it fits perfectly!

More photos this weekend, after MFMPPF visits ... we'll be Trekking somewhere I'm sure!
(((hugs)))
(edited 6/14...obviously I was tired and ready to trek to bed last night...forgot to mention that this isn't just for the Trek Along but also for my Knit Red group! I know, you couldn't tell there was any red in those photos, now could you?)

Very nice!! And it shows up as bright red in the photo. The Meezer's addiction to her tear-strip is such giggle. I really hope that she continues to prefer it to your bamboo needles. I get the same holes when I'm short-rowing which is the biggest reason that my Sassy Stripes sock isn't up to where I want to put in a short-row heel yet. Thanks for posting the photos! {{HUGS}}

The Meezer and the Tearstrip! :)

Sock's looking good. Hey, here's a different way of starting toe-up socks that I always use - very easy and NO HOLES.

I really like how your socks are coming along, the colorway is so gorgeous! I haven't tried toe-up socks before, but seeing this certainly inspired me to try my hands on it! Happy Knitting!

Wonderful red in yarn and the Meezer is as beautiful as ever! Have a lovely weekend!

And pardon my jealous wimpering, but I STILL can't get blogger to take my pictures! I'll trek off and try again --grumble, grumble, stomp, stomp.

What a great colorway! I am still trying to make up my mind on the colors, and don't know if I would wear this one as much, but it sure would help my KAL participation.

Meezer is so adorable, every time I see Meezer I think o fmy sweet Ginger kitty. She's been gone a long time now, but I think of her fondly. She was the sweetest siamese.

Lovely! I really like that color yarn, too. And Meezer seems to have a decision to make - tearstrip or sock?
