Interesting Developments...
I was sitting and knitting today – on the lace shawl of all things – and thought I’d just discovered a huge error, was looking to see what I’d done, if it was really going to affect the look of it, or whether I’d have to visit the lily pad once again – when the phone rang.
A voice from years ago was on the other end. A man I’d cared about, but it hadn’t been the right time for either of us. (This was during an “off-again” period with the man I just broke up with a couple of months ago, for those of you who are keeping track!) Our paths have crossed a couple of times during the ensuing years, but it was always the wrong time.
He was just calling to wish me happy birthday. And tell me his whole life had changed. Freeing him at just the point I happen to also have been freed.
Interesting developments, indeed. We’ll just see how this particular part of the story decides to unfold, shall we?
Oh, and just for the record, the lace shawl is fine – I’d gotten lost in the chart again, and didn’t realize it – so the phone call saved me from frogging yet again! Divine intervention? Perhaps.

Hang in there with the shawl and with destiny or karma or whatever you choose to call it... I'm rooting for you!
be careful and take it slow with the shawl and (uh cough) anything else that might come along!!
Remember look out for #1...thats you! Big Hugs!
I agree with the other comments, slow slow slow!
Think of him as a good friendship rekindled. What will be will be.
Congrats on the shawl! I really have to get some quiet time to fix mine.
Hugs,
Kitt
lifes too short---go for it!!! LOL
I love hearing stories like this...I'm such a romantic. I'll keep my eye out for how things develop. Enjoy!
Of course it's karma or destiny or the luck of the draw - it's whatever YOU make it. And that's good.
And yes, I believe in it. I was going along happily single when a mutual friend asked me to please go to a party and give a message to the man who is now my husband. We'd been friends at work for 5 years but I was married and he was involved...and you know the rest of that story!
Proceed with caution, but for heaven's sake, proceed!
I used to be a huge believer in fate, but now I'm not so sure. However, I do think everything, even the horrible stuff, happens for a reason.
Sometimes it just takes 10 years to find out the reason. *sigh*
