Not a Good Night for a Post...

even if it IS Earth Day and all. Hope you're working on different things you can do to save the planet? Each one of us can do just one more small thing than we're doing now...right?

But after a busy day at the office, then a busy night sewing, a dramatic change in the weather (it was practically frigid today with the wind, and we know what that does to me, right?), not to mention...

A fasting appointment with my vampire this morning (why is it that throws me such a curveball? It's only about 2 hours difference in feeding time, but it wrenches my system for the entire day!)...

Anyway. Maybe I can return to our regular programming tomorrow night? After Red Hats dinner for April...

OH. Yes. And ... shhhh...

After a certain siamese gets back from the V-E-T. She's not gonna be a happy girl if I can get her into the carrier tomorrow morning...
shhhhhhh......

I'm sorry your weather is icky. We were in the 70's and it was sunny today! The dogs and I spent the day at the dog park.

What am I doing to save the planet? For starters, I don't have children. Less population means less strain on the earth's resources.

I also use reusable totes when I go to the store instead of plastic bags.

Since I'm unemployed (and can stay home all day), I try not to use my car more than two days a week.

Now that warm weather is here, I'm using my clothesline instead of my dryer.

I recently bought a Brita filter pitcher so I stopped buying bottled water (I'm on a well and the water has a taste to it so I don't like to drink it. The Brita pitcher totally removes that icky taste!)

This may be TMI, but since I stay home most days, I've started showering every other day instead of every day. (Obviously, if I'm going to see other humans, I make sure I'm clean!)

I could do so much more, but this a start (and it's a lot more than I was doing a year ago).

We cleaned out and unplugged the 'beer fridge' so now we have one. I can't wait to get the electric bill next month to see if it makes a difference (it should, the fridge was easily 30 years old).

Hope the kitty appointment went well!

I won't tell if you won't. I hope you managed to carrier her easily this morning!

I know what you mean about the weather; we've been up and down all week. In the high 90s and dry as a bone on Monday and Tuesday; today it's 60 degrees and damp. I could almost handle one or the other, it's the constant back and forth that gives me a headache (literally)... I hope you're feeling better today!

I hope the trip to the V-E-T went OK. My parents cat likes the vet so much she purrs the whole time. She's a bit odd.

I hope your weather warms up soon! We were in the 90s--too hot for April. But now in the 70s which is normal for CA.
