I hope everyone had a good holiday. We had just a wonderful weather day with brilliant sunshine and everything bursting forth - I suspect it was mid-60s temperature - and next week promises to showcase all the pinks, yellows, purples, and whites of dogwood, redbud, tulips, jonquils, grape hyacinth, and AZALEAS! Yes, the azaleas are budding, so with good weather it won't be long. The rain is coming in tomorrow, but it's so needed, those April showers, that I try hard not to complain...
I spent the day mostly indoors (as every good Lupie does), but had to work, of course - on the client's books. I did manage to venture out a couple of times, so I got to enjoy a little of the weather. I also had a woodpecker knocking away above my head, just outside my office window. I suspect he won't knock long, if my landlord has anything to say about it!
With the books finished, I rejoiced in the news that the merchant marine captain had been rescued, and worked a bit on this as I watched news coverage:
Boing! indeed. I'd love to see this little item finished off in the next couple of months (in between socks, of course). But it's a pretty little pattern, and the yarn is squishy soft!
I'll leave you with a photo I took this afternoon, not far from my house. I love these double redbud trees...

Good news, indeed - and I just ordered Wendy's book from Barnes & Noble, because I don't want to give Amazon any money just now...
Beautiful redbuds! Mother loved those, as do I. However, they don't grow here. We have flowering plums, that's as close as it gets.
oh i love the new scarf! boing boing!
gorgeous redbuds. :)
Such pretty photos! We were having brunch when the text reader showed that Cpt. had been rescued and I felt the same relief. I love the pale colors of spring you are knitting with!
It sounds like a beautiful day, and boing! looks fabulous! I love it in that colorway :)
Well, I never heard of redbud trees but they certainly are beautiful.
