L'il Ol' Knitnana in Sensible Shoes :(
see that little stitch marker there? That cute Siamese? Well, that once was a pair - and they were earrings I loved. Back in the day of my super long hair, I lost one of each of 3 sets of cat earrings. They were all French wires and had no rubber backs to protect them - my hair would snag them and that would be the end of it! So I have some fun stitchmarkers as a result...
This is my reading matter tonight. As expected, the catalog got here immediately AFTER I sent off my first order...I have 4 pair of shoes on the way to accomodate my new needs for arch support and space for the orthotics to slip inside.
(But there are very few pair of shoes that don't look clunky, heavy, or just plain Old-lady-ish! Sigh)
We'll see how it goes
((hugs))

I have decided that fashion in shoes is much over-rated compared to foot comfort. I live in Birkenstocks. When I am required to appear in evening gowns (almost every weekend, Order of the Eastern Star state officer) I wear silver Birkie sandals, with rhinestone buckles, yet. VBG!
I just love those stitch markers! What a great way to make use of those odd man out earrings.
I love Birkenstocks! I'm going shopping to night to look for your Birkie sandals in GOLD - hmm...do you wear your handknit, crazy-patterned socks with them?
I've come to terms with the big clunky and yet comfy shoes. I wear Danskos which I think have some very cute styles.
What a great way to transform the earings that you love. :)
Sensible shoes that are also attractive are hard to come by! I live in Dansko clogs, but I don't think that they'll accomodate arch supports... I love that idea for using single earrings -- must remember that one. :)
Great idea to use the orphan earrings as stitch markers!
I hope the shoes work out! I gave up "cool" shoes when I married a man 10 inches taller than I am. He slowed down quite a bit, and I bought more sensible shoes. But I still like to ogle a great pair of pumps!
