Another Classic Design (my favorite kind!)

This came today: Gathering Roses by Louisa Harding...I bought it on Ravelry in the ISO book detash group...

I'm particularly enthralled with this:

Ok...my photo is lousy - it's Evelyn. You can see a better photo if you click the link above.

Never have knit a sweater. Never really wanted to - except every now and again when I see something truly classic with cables. Hehehe. But frankly, the neckline on this? Might keep me "air conditioned" enough to enable me to wear it. This is knit in a yarn that is "suede-like" - don't think that's going to be my choice for it. That would defeat the purpose of the air-conditioned neckline, I think!

Off to sew now...

If I can knit a sweater, you certainly can. That really is a pretty one too and I love the cables. Go for it!!!

That's really pretty! The neckline wouldn't work for me, but I love it.

Wow, that would be a very classy item! I don't know what the weight is, but you might look into cotton tape yarn, to get the same flat look as the 'suede' but be much more breathable. I am here in the background, ready to coach you through sweater knitting (and fitting) whenever you are!

I only knit cardigans because I only wear cardigans because... well... let's just say that it's a good thing to be able to rip them off at a moment's notice, eh?

Love that sweater, though! The neckline is gorgeous! That one would really tempt me. You should knit it so I can live vicariously through you. Yep!
