Ravens...

OMG

For this Poe fan, I think perhaps this is perfection...
(Haida, Korppi, Tlingit, Rook-y, and of course, Thraven)
(sigh)
I think I'll go listen to The Alan Parsons Project Tales of Mystery and Imagination while I contemplate which STR lightweight I'll get first

(Thraven, in Laci, is reserved for Anne's shawl)

edited Tuesday a.m. Korppi, Tlingit, and Rook-y are on their way to me!

I dunno how they look in person but I was unimpressed by what I saw on my monitor. My Visa is very relieved :)

You and I are very much in sync with our color preferences I think. I just bought Rook-y, Corvid, Haida and Korrpi and regretfully passed on the other colorways you mentioned. Next time!!

I'm not sure, but I think I might have just bought Rook-y in Laci and 4 other colorways in Lightweight (I *need* black socks anyway. heh heh) Grawk, Korppi, Rook-y, and Tlingit...

How can you tell? The pics are so dark but then so was Poe! Beautifully knitted no doubt.

Since you're not in the BMFA sock club this year, you might have missed Tina's list of videos. They include both a serious and a comedic reading of The Raven by Vincent Price. Tina's post is at http://rockinsockclub.com/11/04/ravens-2/

They are "This is just rich" and "my hero."

You picked some pretty colors! My dad (an American lit prof and Poe fan) loves ravens and crows, but I know he wouldn't wear hand knit socks (he grew up poor and hand knit socks meant you couldn't afford to buy "real" store-bought socks). But maybe for me...it's my b-day this weekend...hmm...grandma sent a check...must go now...
