I still think of this card as "love" being an entity of itself rather than two particular people, and can see how it fits you. Knitting is certainly something you are passionate about and that passion helps you to bring grace to those in our fibery world... works for me!
I think Birdsong's comment is spot on. I'm working on being passionate about my life, however mundane it may seem. :)
Nothing says you can't be passionate about knitting and other things - in fact, isn't passion the general flow? Its direction can take you into so many places-
