Post 500 & A Contest!

This is it! 500 posts. I find it amazing, and delightful, all at the same time! And in celebration, a tearstrip was located (no, it's a new one, the box with cat toys hasn't surfaced yet! lolol!) and just guess who came out of hiding and decided she felt a whole lot better?

Sorry the lighting is so bad, these rooms only have ceiling lights (remember those?).

But that didn't affect the quality of our playtime one bit!

The Meezer had a blast. I later discovered the tearstrip under the office chair, so sometime during the night she decided to continue the game.

And here, as I'm finding this an incredibly easy yarn to knit with...the STR Rooster Rock sock - heel turned (today I finished up the gussets and started up the cuff!):

Now, because I promised, we'll have a contest. Leave a comment here, let's say by Friday, March 30 at midnight, telling me The Meezer's best quality...On Saturday, I'll put everyone's name in a hat and draw name for a prize...what? You want to know what the prize will be?

OHhhhhhhhhh...well, you see Nana Sadie Rose will be going to the Sedalia Fiber Festival in Big Island, VA on April 14. And in honor of that, a new design will be added to Nana's bag line. While I don't have a photo to share just yet, the bag will be called the "Posy Sock Sack" after one of Nana's aunts. Suffice it to say it will have some neat features. And the winner of the blog contest will be lucky to have one of the first Posy Sacks made.

Now, if you have a blogger account, please check back because I won't be able to email you if you win.

So....tell me what you think of The Meezer!

Happy 500th post!!!!

The Meezer's best quality.....in honor of the new tearstrip. The Meezer is......easily amused? A cheap date? No, I have it.....one cool cat :o) Nice to see that happy sweet face again!

Only one quality? She's snarky, all those comments she makes via photo caption makes it obvious that she's the supreme ruler of your household and she knows it.

Her best quality is that she's there for you when you need her. Just like a true friend! :)

The Meezer's greatest quality would have to be her playfulness.

Well...I'm not sure what to say about the Meezer. I love having him on your blog. It makes it fun. And his attitude is great and comes out naturally in the pictures. That and I NEED, NEED, NEED, NEED, NEED, NEED that bag!!!!!! :)

I can think of two best qualities: 1) She's beautiful & 2) she's incredibly loyal - to the tear strip, even if it isn't the original. Glad to see that she's feeling better!

Well, the Meezer is so pretty and self-confident in most matters...but, I think one of her best qualities is her ability to clearly communicate with just a simple glance and expression on her face. : )

The faithfulness to tear strips, I admire that faithfulness in the Meezer. :) Congrats!

I'm so glad The Meezer is adjusting to her new home! Her best quality must be that she makes you happy, although her blue eyes and seal points are lovely.

Just one best quality?

I would say her ability to find joy in the simple things (like tearstrips).

Congrats on 500 posts!

"Hi Meezer!"

Good to see her up and about. The Meezer's best quality...is...her unconditional love for her Mommie.

Love the sock. You are a whiz on the double points! :)

The Meezer's best quality? I would say that she is an independent feline knowing how to amuse herself so Mom can knit to her heart's content!

Meezer's best quality to me, is that he reminds me so much of my own rescued cat, Daisy, who was a Balinese. I no longer have her and I miss her bunches.

The Meezer's best quality is being the Meezer. I could say it's the companionship, the unconditional love, the laughs, the fun, etc., etc. But it's just being the Meez!

Congrats on getting to 500, and here's to the next 500!

l it's a bit hard to tell from a photo but if she's anything like our part-meezers, she has fantastic vocal abilities. In my experience meezers are perfectly equipped both by temperament and voice to be opera divas.

Happy 500! Yippee! Can a kitty really have a best quality? I mean everything about them is purr-fect! I do love how silky the Meezers paws look when playing with the tearstrip. Love those kitty paws! Glad to see she's starting to feel better.

The best thing about the Meezer is that he is all CAT!! Loves to be around you when HE decides he wants to be and otherwise, just leave me be lady!! I have a "Meezer" too in the name of "Boots"...she is equally aloof, and usually decides she wants to sit with me when I am in the middle of the bazillionth row of a complicated chart!!! But we love them and that is why they are our constant companions.

The meezer's best attribute is that she is a true friend. A confidante and playmate. Great company in good times and bad. catie

Well, Mother-Dear, obviously you can't enter my name into the drawing because it'd be nepatism! :)

But, I do have to say that my furry-half sister from another mother's best quality is that she keeps you good company so that you don't miss us quite as much. Although, we still miss you awfully!

Oh, and the demented calico fiend, KishKash, sends her love and affection to her aunt! (Claw tapping and nuzzles of course).

As for the sock bag... oh goody! I get to make another section for your website! Looking forward to the revamp? I am! :)

Happy 500 Mom. :) Luv ya!

As for Meezer....I think the fact that she is playful...love a cat that enjoys a good romp with her toys...whether they be "official" cat toys or just something that catchs their fancy.

I think the Meezer's best quality is her consistency. She decided that if you moved she was not going to come out from her hiding place...and she didn't...for all this time ;)

Meezer's best quality is that in her Siam-eze-ness, she ALWAYS knows how to have a good time, no matter what! :)

Well, quite obviously, the Meezer shows her quality by keeping .you. occupied with naught but a tearstrip. Imagine, then, what she might be able to accomplish with a bit of yarn, hmm?...

Happy 500th post!
Only one quality? Hmmmm.... Let's say: It's that she's taking you for who and what you are, always. She won't mind if you've just been getting up and look a bit tired still, she won't mind which clothes you're wearing, in what mood you're in, how your hair looks, she won't moan and complain - the perfect friend, I'd say ;)

Her best quality has to be her ability to write her thoughts on a blog, I mean really, how many cats can do that?

Congratulations!

Clearly the Meezer's best quality can be summed up on one word: Purrsonality! Although, my Siamese "pride" Minky, Victoria, and Casper think she is a really attractive lady and are fascinated with her pin-up pictures!
