Secret Pal 6 Questionnaire!

I'm so sorry, whoever you are, my Secret Pal!!! I wanted to get this up before now, but life has been determined to get in my way...So here's the info, and I hope you find something here you can use! (((hugs)))

1. Are you a yarn snob (do you prefer higher quality and/or natural fibers)? Do you avoid Red Heart and Lion Brand? Or is it all the same to you?
Not really. I’m allergic to most wool – tho’ have just started using Merino from Knitpicks and I love it! (It’s not making me itch)…Alpaca is fine, silk, cotton, and I use Lion Homespun and dishcloth cotton, too…not a fan of Red Heart, but Caron's Simply Soft works well in lots of things. I enjoy Fun Fur stuff, too! Except for most wools, anything is fine as long as it's SOFT.

2. Do you spin? Crochet? No to spinning, and used to crochet but can’t anymore (my hands won’t let me.)

3. Do you have any allergies? SMOKE, most perfumes.

4. How long have you been knitting? Since a wee one.

5. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list? Yes, Amazon under my name and Knitpicks under my "blog" name.

6. What's your favorite scent? (for candles, bath products etc.) French Lavender

7. Do you have a sweet tooth? Dark Chocolate Raspberry, and um, Dark Chocolate Almond, and oh, yes, Dove Dark Chocolate!

8. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do? Sewing.

9. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? No MP3s, but I’m a classical music fan (Romantic and Baroque eras), as well as New Age (Enya, Space Music and such!).

10. What's your favorite color? Or--do you have a color family/season/palette you prefer? Any colors you just can't stand? Love jewel tones, pinks, purples, teals. NOT a fan of yellow or orange.

11. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets? Sort of single (but spoken for), two grandsons – no one lives with me right now but my 3 cats.

12. What are your life dreams? (really stretching it here, I know) Ummmm…marriage…retirement…travel

13. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with? Knitpicks Merino, Alpaca/Silk, love the new Moda Dea yarns at Michaels - they're so soft...

14. What fibers do you absolutely *not* like? Red Heart acrylic

15. What is/are your current knitting obsession/s? LACE

16. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit? Lace Shawls

17. What are you knitting right now? Lace Shawl, Lace Scarf, Clapotis, various odds and ends.

18. What do you think about ponchos? They’re okay...shawls are better.

19. Do you prefer straight or circular needles? CIRCULAR!!! (saves my hands)

20. Bamboo, aluminum, plastic? Bamboo - especially Skacel circs! Vintage pink aluminum (most of my aluminum straight needles are 14" and I'd love some shorter! ;)

21. Are you a sock knitter? Not yet

22. How did you learn to knit? Mom taught me many moons ago, the rest came from on-line knitting this past year!

23. How old is your oldest UFO? Less than a year

24. What is your favorite animated character or a favorite animal/bird? The Disney Siamese Cats from Lady & The Tramp, any CAT

25. What is your favorite holiday? Christmas

26. Is there anything that you collect? CATS – ceramic, wood, photos, paintings ANY medium as long as it’s cats (ESP. Siamese cats) and pink/rose hearts for the kitchen!

27. What knitting magazine subscriptions do you have? None (wish I did…)

28. Any books out there you are dying to get your hands on? Traditional Knitted Lace Shawls by Martha Waterman, the Cat Brodhi books, Opinionated Knitter, see my Amazon List.

29. Any patterns you have been coveting, but haven't bought for one reason or another?? Lotus Blossom Shawl and FiberTrends Leaf Lace Shawl, OH and this one: White Lies Designs Filigree Lace Jacket

ETA: 30. What are your foot measurements, and what kind of socks do you like? Think I’d better pass on this one…don’t know how to measure my foot to give you correct dimensions!!! ;) I wear a size 5.5-6 shoe tho’
