Calicos Are "Alien Invaders in Cats' Bodies..."
Well, she's right. Calico's are a rare breed. Not so much in numbers, but in personality. I had no idea what I was getting into when I took the Calico Curmudgeon into my home and life when she was 4 months old...
She was a soft little thing, not very big at all, really. "No bigger than a minute."
And she had the softest, bunny-fur, belly:
And tiny, dancer's paws...
But that "Catitude?" Well. She never got over it and I never got used to it. CC was the Queen Bee from the second she landed in our universe...
And this morning, quietly, with "first Momma" Lynette and me by her side, our good friend and vet, Connie helped CC land at the Rainbow Bridge.
Sweet CC. I will miss everything dear and darling about you. And will work very hard to forget the not-so-sweet. Say hello and give love-snuggles to your sister BB, the Blonde Bombshell, she will take you "in paw" and show you the ropes. You can hang out with her till I get there, honey.
We'll miss you terribly, but after 19 years, you have had a stellar run, dear girl!

my kitties Boo and Troy will be thinking of you and CC. Big Hugs to you!
I have always said cats are aliens and at night while we sleep they transmit data to the mothership. I tell Boo Boo kitty I want to visit when he goes ;) then he looks at me like i'm the alien.
So sorry that you lost your CC. It's so very hard to let them go.
I just think of all the sweet pets waiting for us at the Bridge.
Oh, sweetie. My Simmer will be waiting there for her, too; she'll be well taken care of, count on it.
((hugs))
I'm so sorry to hear of CC's passing. I just lost my meezer on 4/2 to asthma. It's so hard. Hugs to you. Gentle journey sweet CC.
Janet
Callie will be there to greet her too (along with Patches, Sparky, Moki & Tiger). Maybe Callie & CC can compare notes on how they both enriched our lives and occasionally drove us crazy with their "cattitude". {{{{HUGS}}}}
And my dear Miss Kitty (another calico) is there to show her around as well...
Oh, dear friend... so sorry. It is a comfort to have so many memories, and also to think of BB meeting her for you. You will be in my heart as you grieve.
I'm so sorry. :-(
Calicos are special in so many ways. CC will be well taken care of- my Sweetie, Maya, Nipper, GreyGuy, Myrddin, Freyja, KittyHawk, Sylvia, Tang, Echo, Sam, Athena, Hammurabi, Nefer, Katza and Muezza will all be there to greet her.
Hugs to you!
Oh, Sallee, the tear in my eye is in tribute of CC and of the wonderful life you gave her.
Blessed be.
I'm so sorry hon...sending you love, hugs, prayers and Reiki. Obsidian will be there to greet her. *hugs to you and Meezer*
I'm behind on my blog reading, so just learned about the loss of CC. I am so sorry. I know you're hurting right now, but what you said was spot on: 19 years is a great, long life for a cat.
So sorry to hear about CC. Having pets is so bittersweet ... so much love but it's always in the back of my mind that I'll have to say goodbye.
Hugs to you and the whole KnitNana household.
so sorry to hear about CC. I'm sure she left big paw prints to fill. Purrs from Saucey and Zelda and Hugs from me.
I'm sorry I didn't check earlier, Sallee. I know your heart is hurting right now. She will always be with you out of the corner of your eye; a faint brush of your leg. She's there.
Big hugs and my condolences. You're right. Nineteen years is a helluva good run.
Many many hugs to you and Meezer, so terribly sad but what a wonder life I'm sure she had with you.
