A Day Lost...

Fall is falling. Pouring rain today, don't think the temps were all that low, but the dampness and probably exhaustion hit and I spent the entire day sleeping with hot packs and muscle relaxers. So far, the evening hasn't seen much relief, so I'm hopeful I can get up and go in to work tomorrow, but will wait to see when the alarm goes off (and after a "good" night's sleep, if that's possible)

At one point this afternoon, The Tonk had commandeered his perch in the front window and The Meezer was keeping me company on the bed. I shut the door quietly and got the extra special toy I'd picked up for her at the National Capital Cat Show:

And she proved she's not the "old Grande Dame" she professes to be when the pipsqueak is around...you should have seen her race across the top of the bed and down to the floor then jumping back up. I stopped the leaping down after only one or two, as she has some arthritis in that front shoulder and I don't want to aggravate it, but what fun it was to see her acting like her old self again!

Later, I finally decided to leave the "sock that will NOT end" and start a preemie blanket for the NoSoKnit coming up in a couple of weeks. Must have a donation for my admission and I put the donated yarn on the needles for a small Feather and Fan project:

The Meezer approves. She especially approves of the bamboo needles!
