Take a look at my newest project? A lovely little baby blanket in the easy, old-fashioned ripple pattern. I just love this yarn…it’s Caron’s Simply Soft and it’s washable, which always comes in handy when you’ve got a little baby. This is for a friend of mine who quit smoking when I did, with the plan to have a healthy, happy baby! So I’m tickled to have a chance to make something special for her little baby girl! And what do you see, helping me along on this pattern? Well it’s the lovely lavender heart stitch markers I got from Kelly's! I just ordered 2 sets of her kitty stitch markers and I can't wait to see them ... you really need to visit her blog! You won't be sorry...

This sounds like a fun, soothing project with the likelihood of getting completed in a short amount of time. Can't wait to see a photo.
Looks very nice! I can't wait to see the finished product either! Was this a pattern you found on the 'net?
Sallee,
Both the colors and the pattern are beautiful. I love the gentle flowing waves of the pattern. I'm sure your friend will treasure this gift!

Sallee, that is very pretty and the soothing kind of knitting you were talking about! Now, alternate that with your shawl and you will be fine.
I love this pattern...would you consider sharing it??
