Another Sock and KITTENS! ACK!

I'm not sure my life crazies are going to stop or even slow down anytime soon...especially since I have the National Capital Cat Show looming in two months, and a vacation planned in between. Sunday was pure nuttiness as I tried to balance the fun with the work, and ended up putting a new sock OTN in advance of my KnitIn meeting:

I was surprised to see so much brown in this yarn, but now that I'm getting some length on the toe, I'm loving it!

What I'm not loving is below:

You know those magnet strips that come with chart keepers? Apparently The Tonk knocked my chart on the floor and one came off (I didn't miss it). But here is the result of having a mostly black rug - I suddenly came upon the pieces...

(I don't want to think about the ones that I didn't pick up and where they went. He seems fine.)

(sigh) Kittens!

My cats (guilty party yet unknown) stole two of those magnets. Searching under furniture didn't reveal them...the cats managed to keep them for 6 months. Then, one day, there was a magnet on the floor, and the next day the other.

It's just like having toddlers in the house. Their paws go for whatever amuses them. Between grandchildren and kittens I haven't had a Christmas tree up for 4 years!

Oh, that looks so sadly familiar! I was just looking through my knitting books today and thinking "puppies!", so I'm right there with you...

My Benny's favorite thing to eat are the strips you pull off of Netflix envelopes. He likes to eat them but apparently his body likes to send 'em on back. Argh.

Kittens. I'm sure he didn't eat anything he wasn't supposed to.

I'm so sorry that you were in pain for your retreat but it does sound like you had an amazing time. Practice, that's a good point.

Congrats to Barbara Kay on the contest winning! As a Nana Sadie bag(s)owner, I know how fabulous they are.

We chuckle pretty much non-stop around here with two kittens these days. And then pull out our hair. :-)
