Sock Yarn Doesn't Count...!

And I'm so glad...because here's my latest addition to my sock-yarn-non-stash:
I stopped at our newest LYS tonight on the way home from work: Yarn Explosion is a lovely little shop, not too far from my office (and close to Joann's so I can make two stops - every little bit of trip chaining helps the gasoline bill, right?). I didn't have too long to visit, but everyone was very nice.

I want to thank everyone for their kind wishes and advice on my plantar fasciitis. I do wish I could move past it, but for some odd reason, no matter what I try to do, I end up making it worse, without intending. ;(

Icing seems to be the most helpful, and I'm stretching. And there's not a minute that I'm ON my feet without them being in supportive shoes. (sigh)

Ok. There WAS that 10 seconds when I dropped the Harmony cable needle onto my "persian" carpet in the living room and I got down on my hands and knees to feel for it ('cause I couldn't see it)...but surely 10 seconds doesn't make a big difference (oh. yeah. It did hurt like the dickens...)

Ooh, awesome sock yarn! Surely covering those sore tootsies in something that pretty will help? (OK, I do know it's not nearly that simple -- I hope that things are getting better as the week progresses!)

Such pretty colors!

I am behind on reading blogs. I hope your plantar fasciitis gets better soon. I've had that. Stretching did NOT help (the PT people I saw made the whole thing worse actually); icing did. The weird thing that really worked I tried on advice of a friend, and that was to not wear the same pair of shoes two days in a row. For a while I even changed pairs of shoes part way through the day. It really worked. I had had PF for months, and in less than 2 weeks it was gone.
