What A Day I've Had...

I have a very important job as Mommie's sewing assistant...

First I have to be sure that the bobbins are wound properly...

then there can't be too much dust from the fabrics...that gets inside and gums up the works inside the very expensive machine Mommie calls her "Bernina Baby."

I often have to check there to make sure that the needle she's using is still ok...you're supposed to change them after every 4 hours of sewing. And my mommie does, but sometimes she forgets it's been 4 hours. So I have to watch and let her know...

Finally it's my job to make sure Mommie takes a break every once in awhile for soft kitty time. I get her attention by pulling pins out of the things she's working on and dropping them on the floor "Ping ping," and she stops right away and comes to see what I'm up to. She gets all worried that I'll swallow the pins, but I'm not a dummy...

One of our Meezers feels obliged to sit on and "anchor" all papers - including freshly-pressed patterns. Sheesh! Such help!

I have to make sure my Mommy takes breaks too! I like to put the yarn in my mouth to let her know! That gets her attention real quick, but then she *yells* at me. :(

Wow, that is some good cat photography. How long did you have to follow her around to get that sequence? Or does keeping the camera by the sewing stuff do it for you?

I honor the place in you,

which is of love, truth, light, and peace.

When you are centered in that place in you,

and I am centered in that place in me,

we are one.
