Halloween!

It was an early afternoon off from work, as my sciatic nerve was screaming...must've gotten pinched in the muscle spasms from the fibro/Lupus flare up this week from the drop in temps...(and I'm feeling better, since knocking myself silly with pain meds and muscle relaxers, falling asleep on the microwave heat pack and basically feeling no pain for a couple of hours! I hope that continues...)

So I got up and made Roasted Butternut Squash with Blue Cheese and Pecans (and I added in dried cranberries):
Mentioned earlier, this is a recipe from NPR's Morning Edition (if you click that link, I am not responsible if you succumb to the Lazy Person's Mont Blanc that also appears on that page...I enjoyed listening to Nigella Lawson as much as I did trying her recipe...!)

Then the DD and family appeared for the requisite Halloween Fright Night:
A Care Bear and Two Transformers (I think, not sure, but think I'm related to them...)

Sorry to say, but I'm related to these two as well. May I introduce Mr. & Mrs. Dracula?

Then it was time for a little knitting, some Keith Obermann, Rachel Maddow and then bed. More pain meds and muscle relaxers, a bit more microwave hot packs. I might be able to sit and sew tomorrow at this rate.
:)
Hope you had a fun-filled Halloween!
(((hugs)))

Ouch! I know how you feel - I ache in my feet and I'm stiff as all get out! I hope you feel better very quickly!

I think your pictures are a little mixed up, but I got the gist. The squash looks fabulous and the costumes frightful! Hope you're feeling better.

Oh, I so hope that all that work last night helps today and you stay pain free! I love Halloween pictures of the family, and I'm going to have to try that butternut squash :)

Had a lovely Halloween, thanks, though my costume would have been better if I had applied as much make-up as Mr. and Mrs. D:) I was my usual witch, offering treats at the door of my haunted gothic house, but with the addition of a little Celtic flair. Hope you are much better today!
